What is Domeniq?
Domeniq is a household ledger you install on a Windows computer at home. It keeps receipts, bills, warranties, manuals and the things you own in one encrypted archive with one search. Photograph a document and the node reads it in Hebrew, English or Russian, then files it: a purchase becomes items with their warranties, a bill becomes a bill to pay.
Do my documents leave my home?
Files are stored and encrypted on your own computer, and text recognition runs there too. The fields are read by the model you choose. A local model keeps everything at home. The Domeniq cloud model, or your own Anthropic or OpenAI-compatible account, receives a document only after you consent, and the node records that consent. The client site keeps your sign-in, plan and payments, never documents.
What do I need to run it?
A Windows 10 or 11 computer (64-bit) and an internet connection during the install, which downloads about 200 MB. The installer sets up a Windows service with a tray icon. You then open Domeniq in a browser on any phone, tablet or laptop on your home Wi-Fi. A Docker image for a NAS or mini PC is planned but not available yet.
How much does it cost?
The software is free to download and install. Reading documents with the Domeniq cloud model starts with a free trial of 30 documents for 30 days. After that, DomenIQ Base is ₪15 for 60 documents, Plus ₪20 for 90, and Ultra ₪30 for 150, each for 30 days. With your own API key or a local model you pay us nothing.
Which languages does it read?
Hebrew, English and Russian, including sheets that mix them, such as a Hebrew bill with English model numbers. Text recognition uses Tesseract or PaddleOCR for Hebrew on your computer, then a language model reads the vendor, date, total, serial number, warranty length and bill period. The screens are available in all three languages, Hebrew right to left.
Do I have to approve every receipt?
No. Documents of a known type are filed without a question: a purchase becomes items with warranties, a bill becomes an unpaid bill, a car insurance or annual test becomes a renewal reminder, a fuel or garage receipt becomes an expense of that car. Everything made this way is marked “auto”, and the whole filing can be undone. A wrong value costs one correction.
Can I use my phone?
Yes. Open the node in your phone's browser and photograph documents, several pages at a time. An Android app is in development: you pair it once by scanning a QR code on the node's Phones page, and scans travel encrypted through the free Domeniq relay, so they arrive even when the node is switched off or you are away. An iPhone app will follow.
What happens when my plan runs out?
Nothing is lost. New documents are stored and wait in the queue until you renew the plan or switch to another model, and are read then. Documents already read stay as they are. The node tells you on its AI model page, and on each waiting document, that the plan has run out.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. An open export writes everything as plain files in folders, plus JSON and CSV. Encrypted backups run on a schedule or on demand, and a backup restores onto a new node with your recovery phrase.
Is it safe on my home network?
Each node gets a random name of its own and a Let's Encrypt certificate, so browsers connect over HTTPS where your router allows it. The certificate's private key never leaves your computer. Every page except sign-in needs the owner password. For access from outside the house, use a VPN such as Tailscale or WireGuard rather than exposing the node to the internet.
